C Train - 155 St. (Day 2, stop #53)

Out:  The exit at the SE corner of the intersection is next to an elementary school, with a pleasant mural of kids playing, whales, flowers, etc.  There is also a good view down a hill to the east, revealing part of Bronx in the morning light.  The housing around here is a mix of tenements and some brownstones is reasonable condition.  In the vicinity there are also some projects as well as a Masonic temple, surprisingly enough.  There’s another old building which has been converted to a parking lot.  Quite a diverse (unexpectedly so) intersection.  Outside the people are similar to 163^rd, with mostly Hispanic a few black, but there are also a few gentrifiers here on their way to work.

In:  The station is similar to 163^rd St. on the platform level.  The mezzanine level is quite long and wide, and there are also closed off exits.  The main exit is directly underneath the intersection of 155^th and St. Nicholas, with exits to three of its 4 corners.
