Out: This area is very commercial. Most of the stores are mom & pop style, but there are also some chains nearby. There are a couple of Mexican restaurants, but it seems from the people around that the area is largely mixed between black & Hispanic.
In: The 4 train in the Bronx primarily runs along Jerome Ave., and I walked over to here from the D stop at Fordham Rd. The station is elevated and in very good shape; it appears quite recently renovated. The station itself also looks quite presentable from the street. The color scheme is dark green and burgundy.
