J/M/Z Trains - Hewes St. (Day 8, stop #351)

Out:  I exit at Hooper St.  The streets are pretty empty over here, and there isn’t too much traffic.

There are some brick attached houses, small apartment buildings, and tenements.

There are some signs of gentrification, but the area is still mostly Hispanic for sure.  There are a couple delis and other small shops, a car service, a Latin restaurant, and a random shady hotel (see photo).  A lot of stores are already closed, even though it’s only 6 p.m.

In:  Similar to Halsey/Chauncey.
