J Train - 111 St. (Day 4, stop #179)

Out:  Lots of South Asians over here, many sporting a salwar kameez and everything.  111 is a pleasant, tree-lined street, with many two-story houses covered in siding or stone.  Some of the businesses include a Peruvian restaurant, “For a Better World Real Estate”, and Allah Din Carpets.  There aren’t that many people out, but there is a decent number of businesses.  This neighborhood also looks pretty ethnically mixed and middle class.

In:  This station is very similar to 121 St., except now there is some red brick on the floor of the station house.  Also here the metal paneling extends the full length of the platform, so I can’t see over the side.
