6 Train - 116 St. (Day 2, stop #80)

Out:  There are many good examples here of impressive Harlem architecture, as seen in red brick buildings and elaborate moldings/accents on residential buildings.  There are also plenty of Harlem-type businesses as well as fast food around.  Hair + nail places abound.  This intersection is definitely pretty busy when the stores are open.  “Papaya Barrio” looks festive but it’s closed.  Most people around are black, but there are also a couple of tourist-types as well as a good number of Puerto Ricans.

In:  Nice tiling with blue & green theme, as well as tile murals with colorful shapes.  The lighting is good and the station is relatively clean.
